Katelynn Adolphson


With an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Katelynn brings a breadth of experience to our center. She is dedicated and passionate. Her leadership makes a strong, long lasting positive impact on the children she teaches.





With a degree in Quality Control and Quality Assurance Jody assists with managing the operations at The Nest to ensure her own kids and their peers have quality care. She spends her mornings in the classroom to get a hands on feel and her evenings managing the back end of The Nest.





Chelsea has several years of experience with early childhood education. She has reached a point in her career where she can be in and out of the classroom. She is responsible for managing the recreational center as will as assisting with The Nest.


Mickayla Cushman

Lead Teacher

Our "Baby Whisperer" with years of experience Mickayla keeps our infant program organized and ensures your baby is safe and soothed. 




Infant Assistant Teacher

Katie spends her free time mentoring the youth at Life Enrichment Services.  She is happily married to her husband Karl. Also she is a certified phlebotomist. Katie enjoys singing and dancing.




Lead Teacher

Alana is currently studying Early Childhood Development. She has several years of experience caring for children. She enjoys her free time being with her family and friends as well as spending time outside and enjoying nature. Alana is also passionate about art, movies, and spending time with her pets.



Lead Teacher

Jordan is currently enrolled at LFCC for Early Childhood Development. She has previous experience working with children and hopes to one day make this her career. She enjoys being with family and friends where she has also helped care for their children. Jordan also has a spoiled chihuahua and her favorite holiday is Christmas.


Elizabeth Hernandez

Lead Teacher

Elizabeth has 10 years’ experience as an assistant teacher with preschoolers. She along with her husband have 5 children together. Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family including her precious granddaughter. In her free time, she loves watching her children play soccer. 



Assistant Teacher

Savannah has several years of experience working with children. Caring for children is something Savannah has always been passionate about. She loves watching children grow and learn new things! Savannah also enjoys photography, painting, being outdoors and spending time with loved ones!



Lead Teacher

Nataly has prior experience as a camp counselor with grades k-6 as well as younger siblings. she is new to strasburg  and attends strasburg high school. she is a junior and plays varsity soccer. 

Nancy VanGorder



Assistant Teacher

Sarah grew up being around my 5 siblings, she always helped out taking care of her younger sibling while growing up. In her spare time, Sarah likes to plan fun activities with her family such as going hiking or having a movie night. She also helps her dad out around the house, and likes to spend time with her pets. She enjoys working with the children at Nest Daycare, but also enjoys making a connection with the kids and learning more about them each day.

Assistant Teacher

Chasity has several years of experience working with children and it is her favorite thing to do. She is currently in college studying dental hygiene. Chasity is hoping to become a dental hygienist at a pediatric dentist office one day. In her spare time she's either with her family or spending it with a good book!


Brooklynn Cushman

Assistant Teacher   

Growing up with seven siblings, Brooklyn has always been around children. Both her mother and sister work in the early childcare industry. As result Brooklyn has decided to follow in their footsteps. She loves working it at The Nest. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, painting, and drawing.


Kathryn Hamman

Assistant Teacher

Kathryn has grown up assisting with care of her four younger siblings.  She found caring for children was a passion of hers and extended her responsibilities to family friends and we are now lucky to have her at The Nest. Her favorite hobbies include painting, reading, and volunteering at the local animal shelter.

 Jordan was born and raised in Strasburg, VA. She has several years of experience working with children. In her spare time she loves to be outdoors exploring with her son, Parker who she adores very much.

Mackenzie’s passion to work with kids began at a young age as she helped her grandmother who took care of children in her home as she was growing up. Mackenzie has earned her Associates degree from Lord Fairfax Community College and is planning on getting her Bachelors degree in a child or psychology related field. Mackenzie loves to work with kids and plans on pursuing it as a career.




 Seasonal Assistant Teacher

Caitlyn is currently working towards her degree in Early Childhood Education. She loves working with children and wants to one day teach first grade. Outside of work, Caitlyn enjoys painting, hiking, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kristina is a senior at Sherando high school. She is currently taking classes at LFCC for forensic science. With growing up around a big family, Kristina has experience with young children. In her free time, she likes to read, watch Netflix, and spend time with friends and family.
